West Central Minnesota Historical Association’s World War I Traveling Exhibit
On EXHIBIT NOW in the Rotunda 2nd floor of the Renville County Courthouse 500 E. Depue Ave, Olivia, Minnesota
Open 8 AM – 4:30 PM Monday – Friday (Closed weekends & Federal Holidays)
This exhibit demonstrated the relevance of local history by showcasing the local stories in the greater context of World War I history. The exhibit was created to help our communities understand how West Central Minnesota had an important role in such a large event in the nation and the world’s history. Visitors to the exhibit go home with a sense of how their own history fits into a larger picture and with a more in-depth understanding of World War I history.
The exhibit has traveled throughout the 10 counties over the past five years.
The traveling exhibit was financed in part with funds provided by the State of Minnesota from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund through the Minnesota Historical Society.
This current display of the exhibit is sponsored by the Renville County Historical Society. If you have questions regarding the exhibit please contact Nicole at the Museum 507-697-6147.
