Dear Sir:
Am getting your
paper now and thanks very much. I am not back for a short rest but expect to be
back at it soon. The “Hun” has got a swell mess on his hands when the old
“Yank” boys wind up as I suppose you have seen by the papers of late. Haven’t
had the opportunity of seeing anyone of the boys from home yet but perhaps will
sooner or later. How’s Renville now? Quiet I imagine as the old town has done
her bit by sending so many of the lads to service. But it’s the only place for
husky young men right now. Well, news are scarce as we arn’t allowed to say
much in regard to war, but I know we are going to do what we were sent here
for. Best regards to all hoping I continue to received the Star Farmer.
Your truly, Sgt.
W. R. George
