by Patricia Lubeck. This book was written to document stories of the early pioneers who settled in Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota during the late nineteenth century. The past comes back to life as you read about the struggles, hardships, and adventures that many hearty souls endured along the way, as they made an untamed land their home. You’ll read about numerous crimes, including the first and only execution in the county and much more.
Patricia Lubeck grew up in Echo, Minnesota which is located in Yellow Medicine County. She moved away after graduation and returned to Belview, Minnesota, just down the road from Echo, in 2005.
