Men to Leave Olivia on Monday, April 29th for Camp Dodge, Iowa
On next Monday, April 29th another body of young men from Renville County will leave Olivia to enter the army service. The quota from this county numbers thirty-four and three large cities, is 2086. This call is to be followed by another in May and it is expeted that a call will be issued each month thereafter during the summer.
The following is the list of men called from Renville County:
Olivia – Otto C. Jensen*, William Erickson* (Olivia Legion Post is named for him), Frank Patzwald, Henry Kubesh, George Bublitz and Roaland Heinecke
Renville – Willis McBroom, Herman Freiborg, George Broen, Gotfred Sandberg and Alvin Deason
Fairfax – Herman Hinderman, Leroy Serverns, Herbert L. Palmer, John Reger and Albert J. Gerardy
Sacred Heart – Axel Johnson and Olaf Knutson
Hector – James Tompkins and Roy McCall
Bird Island – Frank Bartholett, Joseph Goddetrz and George Kirgiss
